Chilli – Axe chilli

Axe Chilli is a curious variety producing large, elongated, axe-shaped pods with a mild-to-moderate heat and crunchy, flavourful flesh. As eye-catching as it is tasty, it’s wonderful for stuffing, frying, salads and pickles. The sturdy, bushy plants are prolific and grow well in pots, grow bags and garden beds. Sow in full sun in fertile, well-draining soil, water moderately, and harvest chunky pods in about 75–85 days. A fun, unusual chilli that’s a great conversation-starter and a rewarding grow for home cooks and collectors.
