Indian cucumber

Indian Cucumber (Vellarikka) is a hardy, high-yielding climber producing crisp, juicy, cooling fruits perfect for salads, raita, curries and refreshing summer dishes. Fast-growing and heat-loving, the vines crop heavily in warm climates. Sow seeds in full sun in fertile, well-draining soil, provide a trellis to climb or let it trail, water regularly, and harvest tender fruits in about 45–55 days. Rich in water and light on the stomach, home-grown cucumbers are a rewarding, easy crop for garden beds, grow bags and terrace gardens.
