Light Purple Bird’s Eye Chilli is a pretty kanthari variety whose tiny, upright pods flush a soft lilac-purple before ripening to red, delivering the intense, aromatic heat bird’s eye chillies are loved for. As ornamental as it is fiery, it’s perfect for pickles, chutneys, curries and garden display. The compact, bushy plants are prolific and crop over a long season. Sow in full sun in fertile, well-draining soil, water moderately, and harvest colourful pods in about 75–85 days. A beautiful, hot little chilli that’s easy to grow in pots, grow bags and garden beds.
