Red ginger seeds

Red Ginger is a prized variety producing aromatic rhizomes with a reddish hue and a warm, pungent flavour. Valued in cooking and traditional medicine, its rhizomes add zing to curries, teas, pickles and home remedies for digestion and immunity. Plant the seed rhizomes in loose, fertile, well-draining soil with partial shade at the start of the monsoon; they are ready to harvest in about 8–9 months. Hardy and perennial, red ginger grows well in pots, grow bags and garden beds — a rewarding, low-maintenance crop for any kitchen or herb garden.
