Kesari Tomato (Kesari Thakkali / കേസരി തക്കാളി) is a lovely variety producing bright saffron-orange fruits with a sweet, mild, low-acid flavour and a beautiful glowing colour. Delicious and pretty, they’re wonderful in salads, garnishes and gourmet cooking. The vigorous plants fruit well over a long season. Sow in full sun in fertile, well-draining soil, stake for support, water regularly, and harvest in about 75–85 days. Sweet, colourful and eye-catching, kesari tomato is a delightful, easy-to-grow heirloom for home and terrace gardens.
